Man accused of 'obscene' offences appears in court
Danny Wallace, Calum Birney, Matthew Fitzpatrick, Peter Campbell and Matthew Snoddy have signed four-year deals to stay at Glenavon.
There might be a handful of games left in this season’s Danske Bank Premiership but already Gary Hamilton has his preparations underway for the 2022/23 campaign.
Last night Glenavon announced that five players had signed four-year deals to stay at Mourneview Park.
Leading scorer Matthew Fitzpatrick and Peter Campbell, who hit the target twice on Saturday in the club’s 3-1 win over Ballymena United, have signed on.
Defenders Calum Birney and Danny Wallace have also extended their stay, as too has midfielder Matthew Snoddy.
And as if that wasn’t enough to get the Lurgan Blues fans excited, this afternoon Glenavon’s social media feeds were busy again, announcing that the experienced duo of Michael O’Connor and Sean Ward were staying for another season while Conor McCloskey had agreed a two-year deal.
The news will be another timely boost as Glenavon bare down on seventh place in the table and the final place in the European play-offs, which are expected to take place in May.
First up, though, will be Saturday’s trip away to Dungannon Swifts (kick off 3pm).
