Former Clan Na Gael player Colin Treanor brought the now famous blues centenary
jersey around every gruelling step of the London Marathon today (Sunday, April 23).

Colin who now lives in Belfast and has introduced his son James to The O Donaoan
Ross club, was a member of a very good Clans out fit who lost the county final to
Crossmaglen.

The former Pinebank resident in completing the London route has stacked
up a total of 20 marathons since streping down from football and has no notion of
calling it a day.

Ready for another challenge he said, "I was honoured to have the Clan's centenary jersey with me in London, you could say it put an extra spring in my step on the way".

The former Mid Ulster League player who might be best remembered for his services to
Derryhirk United, still keeps an eye on things back home, "I keep an eye out for news
from Clan Na Gael, and also on the Armagh front, but with my playing days over I will be planning my next Marathon".

While pictures of the blues jersey have been seen from around the world, it's not known if any have been worn in a completed marathon, Colin has possibly created another milestone in the Clan's 100 year history.
