Tyrone's defeat last night (Saturday, May 20) against Galway has brought a new focus to Kieran Mc Geeney's (pictured)Armagh side who travel to Omagh in a fortnight to face the red hands.
But before the clash of the Ulster giants takes place the orchard side will cross swords with Westmeath at the Athletic Grounds next Saturday.
The game has been given even more importance considering that in the first match of the group stages Mayo handed favourites Kerry their first defeat in Killarney for 39 years.
After Armagh play Westmeath they will challenge Tyrone before facing Galway at a neutral venue, the tie could be a double header with Dublin and Sligo also on the bill.
With Armagh fans still sifting through the ashes of the Ulster final defeat against Derry, the qualifiers where nothing can be taken for granted have taken on a new life.
The Ulster side will be keen to get back on track and although they are expected to be too strong for the Leinster men next time out, there is a growing consensus amongst the fans that Stefan Campbell should start.
The Clan na Gael player was sprung from the bench last time out and both Conor Turbitt and Andrew Murnan would be expected to return to early season form.
For the game against Westmeath, no match tickets will be allocated through the clubs, they have already gone on sale through ticket master. Although smaller crowds normally attend Saturday night games the Athletic Grounds crowd should still be touching 16,000.
