Lurgan Golf Club Lady Captain, Ita Hanna, has launched her chosen charity partnership this year in memory of young Callum Morrow.

Calum sadly died on Saturday, July 2018 in a road traffic accident.

Ita has chosen to support Air Ambulance during her tenure as Lady Captain.

Explaining why she chose to support the charity, Ita said, “Unfortunately, Callum lost his life in a road traffic accident in July 2018 and Air Ambulance NI were in attendance that day.

“The Morrow family have been friends and neighbours of mind for all my life and I wanted to do something in memory of their beloved family member.”

It has been a difficult year to fundraise for charity, given the closure of the golf club and cancellation of many events but Ita hopes that the club members and community will support her by donating in the clubhouse or in the club shop.

“She added, “I have put collection cans out across the club if anyone would like to donate any funds and I look forward to Lady Captain's Day on Saturday, July 31 when I really hope people will dig deep and support our Air Ambulance.”
