Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council’s planners are currently considering plans to bring a modular office building to the site of Craigavon Area Hospital.

Submitted on Monday, November 29 by agent Knox and Clayton Architects on behalf of the applicant, the Southern Health and Social Trust’s assistant director of estate services, Mark Bloomer will, if approved, see the installation of a two-storey modular office building and associated site works erected on the hospital site.

The proposed location for the new modular building is the existing car park adjacent to the ambulance control building.

According to the proposal, the modular building will have a net floor space of 330m2 and its erection is expected to see a reduction in the number of vehicles entering the site from the 56 at present to 40.

Received and validated on Monday, November 29, the application’s neighbour consultation expired on Wednesday, January 5 with the standard consultation period due to expire on Tuesday, January 11.

The application will be advertised until Friday, January 7.
