Gosford Forest Park will be closed this Friday and Saturday (June 10 and 11), Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council has confirmed.

The park will be closed to general public on these dates in order to facilitate the 175th Armagh County Agricultural Show and Country Festival.

The Armagh Show will take place at Gosford Forest Park on Saturday, June 11. It is one of the longest running shows on the island with reports of a show being held in Armagh dating as far back as 1829.

Some of the main attractions at the show will include livestock classics, equestrian events, home industries a food village, vintage displays and trade stands.

A council spokesperson took to social media to confirm Gosford Forest Park’s closure for the two days.

“Gosford Forest Park will be closed to the general public on Friday, June 10 and Saturday, June 11 to facilitate the Armagh Show,” reads the social media post.

“We wish the organisers every success with this year’s event and hope everyone visiting has an enjoyable experience.”
