Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council’s planning department is being asked to retrospectively approve a wind turbine on the Clonmore Road.

Lodged by agent TC Town Planning on behalf of applicant Railroad Energy Ltd, the application seeks retrospective permission for the erection of a single wind turbine with a hub height of 49m and a rotar diameter of 52m. The overall tip height of the turbine is 75m.

The turbine is located approximately 170m west of 98 Clonmore Road, Dungannon. According to the application form the site currently houses an operating turbine with associated ancillary hard standing area and sub station with switch box cabinets.

It is also noted that that previous planning permission has granted approval to this turbine, albeit in a different siting to that which this application seeks permission for.

Lodged and validated on Thursday, April 28, the application’s neighbour consultation period will expire on Monday, June 20 with the standard consultation period open until Wednesday, June 22.

The application will be advertised until Friday, June 24.
