Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart has urged local groups to explore the latest funding opportunity from the Ulster-Scots Agency, aimed at helping groups host community festivals.
The DUP representative for Upper Bann said, “Due to COVID-19 so few of the fantastic community events usually hosted across Upper Bann have been unable to go ahead.
"As we emerge from restrictions, I know groups are keen to once again host community events and to provide an opportunity for neighbours and friends to come together once more.
"The Community Festival Fund from the Ulster-Scots Agency is a fantastic opportunity for groups to secure funding to host events around Ulster-Scots language, heritage and culture. The Ulster-Scots tradition is valued by many across Upper Bann and this fund will support the showcase and celebration of this identity.
"I would encourage groups to explore this fund and consider hosting Community Festivals around the Ulster-Scots culture. The fund is open for applications until July 18, and more details are available from the Ulster-Scots Agency website.”
