A teacher is offering help to GCSE students in the south Lurgan area make the grade.

Louise McKinstry, who is also a UUP councillor, is to hold revision sessions according to the group behind the campaign fighting the decision to bus children from Lurgan to the Portadown campus Craigavon Senior High School.

According to Educational Equality for Lurgan, anybody interested in availing of Louise's help should get in touch with their Facebook page.

“This past two years of school have been disrupted because of this global pandemic,” they said.

“Our Year 12 students will sit their first formal exams in November.

“The maths exam will have no reduction in content unlike other subjects.

“With this in mind, Louise McKinstry has again offered to take a series of revision sessions to help our young people prepare. Louise has been a teacher for almost 25 years and a GCSE examiner for CCEA, so is well qualified to offer these classes.

“If you are interested, get in touch so we can arrange an evening that suits each week.”
