A Craigavon man has appeared in court charged with three offences relating to a football match between Portadown and Glenavon.

Thomas Magill, (22), of Lurgan Road, appeared at Craigavon Courthouse sitting on Wednesday, October 13.

Magill faces charges of disorderly behaviour, possessing a flare at a football match and throwing an article that is capable of causing an injury during the match at Shamrock Park on August 27 this year.

A constable spoke to confirm that he was aware of the case and that he could connect the accused to the charges.

No counter submissions were made by Magill's defence in relation to the connection.

District Judge Greg McCourt adjourned the case until November 17 for a full file to be received.

The defendant was released on continuing bail.
