A Lurgan woman, who breached a restraining order, has had her case adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be obtained.
The case of Elaine McAlinden, (57), of Manse Mews, was heard at Craigavon Courthouse sitting on Wednesday, January 12.
The court heard that on November 25 last year, the injured party in the case was working as a receptionist when she received number phone calls from a withheld number.
It was stated that she instantly recognised the voice to be of that of the defendant who previously received a restraining order due to a previous incident.
Between 09:36am to 12:48pm, a total of 17 calls were made and a search of the defendant’s phone detected ten calls from the device.
During interview, McAlinden told police: “I didn’t make 17 calls, it was more seven.”
District Judge Greg McCourt was alarmed by the offence and adjourned the case for a pre-sentence report to be established.
