Salvation Army helping the community in Lurgan for over 140 years

The Salvation Army has been serving the people of Lurgan since 1880.

Their challenges have been wide and varied over the last 140 years and more. They have continued to support the poor and needy.

These days they have spread their wings to include community outreach, support to those seeking jobs, and the provision of monetary support as fuel prices rise to unprecedented levels.

They also team up with other charitable institutions like St Vincent De Paul. Donagh McKeown visited their Union Street buildings to find out more.
