As Bank Holiday Weekend begins, we have the perfect opportunity to encourage you out and about and enjoy learning just a little bit more about the beautiful countryside around us.

Two local tour guides and Lough Neagh ambassadors, Angela Boyle and Martelle McPartland, are offering a walking tour around the village of Aghacommon at 2pm this Sunday, May 1.

They are part of the Lurgan Heritage Collective, a local group who continue to promote interest in local history and heritage, supporting various heritage groups to promote a variety of interests across the area.

Along with supplying the local folklore and history, they offer an opportunity to have a good chat while encouraging walks through the village and neighbouring Tannaghmore Gardens and the Balancing Lakes.

Donagh McKeown caught up with them earlier today.
