Sinn Féin MLA John O’Dowd has thanked all those who came out to vote his party at the recent Assembly election.
Mr O’Dowd said: “A huge thank you to everyone who voted for me and Sinn Féin. ]It is an honour to represent the people of Upper Bann, I will do my very best to serve you in the time ahead.
“My colleague Councillor Liam Mackle came very close to winning a second seat and I am sorry he didn’t make it.
“To my comrades in Upper Bann Sinn Féin, go raibh mile Maith agaibh, you put a huge effort into Liam’s and my campaign, you should be rightfully proud of yourselves.
“It is now time to restore the Executive and Assembly. Families and workers need help with the cost of living crisis. The Health service needs investment.
“Only a fully functioning Executive can achieve those goals.”
