A shop in Bleary is set for a new look after a planning application was made for its demolition.

Planners are set to deliberate over proposals submitted on behalf of Douglas Bleary Ltd by agent W R Redmond which seeks the demolition of the existing convenience store, garage & storage facility at 178 Bleary Road.

In their place would be the development of three units, including one with permission for the sale & consumption of hot food.

The proposals include a bulk fuel unit, back of house storage, staff accommodation, offices, car parking with associated lighting, including landscaping, fencing and low level retaining walls.

The application, which is being advertised next week, will now go before the council’s planning committee for consideration.
