Motoring charges relating to an alleged detection in the Derrymore Road area of Craigavon have been put to a thirty-seven-year-old man who appeared in court.

Robert Martin Braniff from Moylinney Park, Antrim is accused of driving after consuming excess alcohol on 24 November last year as well as failing to provide a preliminary breath sample.

A police officer familiar with the facts of the case told Craigavon Magistrates Court the charges could be connected.

A defending solicitor requested time for legal consultation however District Judge Bernie Kelly ruled a contest date should be identified on the next occasion.

She remanded Branniff on continuing bail to attend court again on 25 May.
