Man accused of 'obscene' offences appears in court
Lurgan Bowling Club’s drive for new members got underway last Thursday evening in the Parochial Hall in Waringstown.
Eleven teenagers from the Lurgan Youth Annex with their leader, Andrew Barr enjoyed their introduction to the bowling scene on the short mats.
They all took to their new sport well and enjoyed the fun with the instructions coming from Eileen Robson, Leslie Wylie and Melvyn Hamilton from the Lurgan Club; and also Kenneth McCoy and Tommy Anderson from the Waringstown Indoor Short-mat Club.
The boys and girls have shown potential to bowl outdoor and will have that opportunity later on in the mid-summer during the proposed Youth Bowling Camp.
